"Mom, I need to say something, I dont like when bhaiya touches me"

This is the story of a dear student of mine. She was serene, quiet and introvert child, whose presence in class is hardly noticeable. One day she caught up in a brawl, and this girl who barely speaks a word in class was fluently screaming all expletives of worst kind. It felt as if she has been occupied by I dont know what force. Well, I did one thing right, BY NOT BEING JUDGEMENTAL. I just walked, gave her a smile and told her, " this was not you, you are not this".

She looked at me " You think so?"
Her lost eyes magnetically pulled me, without thinking much I said " I Know So."

That was a few months back. Today I received a text from her, She asked me if she could get a few minutes of mine, its urgent.

I called her " Sweetie Pie, whenever you wish to", not knowing what is about to come.

This girl is repeatedly raped by her cousin since 2 years. Now this beast is about to marry and still is carrying this heinous act, whenever she is alone. She lives in joint family and this abuse is resulted out of property disputes between her father and this cousin. This beast carried out this vengeance on her since her tender age. When she tried telling this to her mom, she snapped and shouted on her and was indifferent. Poor child couldnt tell what happened to her. Not only this, she is frequently beaten by her parents because they think she has an affair whenever she tries to dodge away rather than to be alone in the house with this 'bhaiya'.

And she also tried taking her life.

I will be there for this girl, and so will be her best friends, but I request all mothers, please take your daughter seriously when she says, " I dont like when Bhaiya touches me", Coz being a girl , she is intuitive to 'good touch' and 'bad touch'.

Statistics says that more than 73% rapist are relative or acquaintance. Save your child from all such 'uncles or bhaiyas'. And try to bring her out of this nightmare by giving her all love and care. She is a tender bud, treasure her, cherish her.

and this one if for that dear student of mine

" Angel, you have been a fighter and you are not alone. Nothing can ever smudge your spirit, you are as precious as the lotus bud. For me, you are as sweet as that honey river flowing in paradise, you are as beautiful as the first rain that washes away the dust. Do not let a beast ever cloud your life"
